Recorded in Santa Barbara at Electric Ladyboy, which is Martin Gore’s personal studio, as well as at Shangri-La in Malibu and Blanco Studio in New York City, with mixing at Studio Zona in London, Memento Mori is the 15th studio album by Depeche Mode. Released on 24 March 2023, it features the singles / releases Ghosts Again, My Cosmos Is Mine, Wagging Tongue, Speak To Me, My Favourite Stranger, Before We Drown, and People Are Good. The album was issued in four different 180-gram heavy vinyl editions and two CD editions. Memento Mori is notably the first, and so far the only, Depeche Mode album released without Andrew Fletcher, one of the band’s founding members.
