Recorded at Electric Ladyboy in Santa Barbara and Shangri-La in Malibu, and mixed at Studio Zona in London, Wagging Tongue is the 58th single by Depeche Mode (and their 49th in the US). Initially released digitally on 7 July 2023, it’s notable as the first, and to date only, single co-written by David Gahan and Martin Gore. About five months after its original release, Wagging Tongue was also issued as a 12-inch vinyl.
