Depeche Mode – Blasphemous Rumours / Somebody

Recorded at Music Works in London and mixed at Hansa Mischraum in Berlin, Blasphemous Rumours / Somebody is the 12th single by Depeche Mode. Originally released on 29 October 1984, it’s also the band’s first double A-side single. Blasphemous Rumours sparked some controversy with its lyrics, while Somebody is the first Depeche Mode single sung by Martin Gore rather than lead vocalist David Gahan. Blasphemous Rumours / Somebody was initially not commercially released as a single in the US.
