Recorded at Electric Ladyboy in Santa Barbara and Shangri-La in Malibu, and mixed at Studio Zona in London, Before We Drown is the 61st single by Depeche Mode (and their 52nd in the US). It’s also the band’s sixth single with lyrics by lead singer David Gahan. Initially released digitally on 9 February 2024, Before We Drown was subsequently issued as a 12-inch vinyl three months later.
