Depeche Mode – non-UK/US titles

During Depeche Mode’s 30-year tenure with Mute Records, a British independent label founded by Daniel Miller, various national labels around the world held the legal rights to release exclusive titles within their respective countries – a practice particularly common in the Japanese market. When Mute Records was acquired by EMI in 2002, EMI took control of Depeche Mode’s catalog and future releases, bringing an end to the era of national labels producing regional releases. EMI was soon sold off and broken up. After its dissolution, the band signed with Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment which now manages Depeche Mode’s global distribution.

Note: While there are many additional commercial and promotional Depeche Mode releases produced in countries other than the UK and US, the ones listed here are exclusively non-UK/US titles.
