Enclosed with issue 52 of BONG magazine and sent to members of the official Depeche Mode fan club in the summer of 2002, the compilation Remixes CD was the fourth title exclusively distributed with the publication. As the final issue of the magazine, it marks the closure of the club. The farewell present to the fans features previously commercially unreleased remixes of the singles Dream On, I Feel Loved, and Freelove. Remixes CD was proposed to be a bonus disc for the studio album Exciter.
