Released on 11 November 2022, Playing The Angel | The 12″ Singles is a box set collection featuring the 12-inch vinyls associated with Depeche Mode’s 2001 album Playing The Angel, and a newly combined 12-inch. The set consists of the singles Precious, A Pain That I’m Used To, Suffer Well, and the double A-side John The Revelator / Lilian, alongside The Darkest Star, other B-sides, and various remixes, all pressed on audiophile-quality 180g heavy vinyl with audio mastered from the original tapes. The front cover design of Playing The Angel | The 12″ Singles draws on iconography taken from the legacy album artwork, while the ten sleeves replicate the original 12-inch artwork.
